Dr. Bharatkumar Patel has been in Clarksville, TN practicing medicine since 1995. He is board certified in Internal Medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine. He opened his own practice in 2006 -Clarksville Internal Medicine.
Dr. Bharatkumar Patel graduated from South Gujarat University in India in 1989. He did some cardiovascular research at the University of Connecticut Health Center after he came to the states. After completing his Internal Medicine Residency at Brooklyn Hospital Center in Brooklyn, NY, he joined Premier Medical Group in Clarksville in 1995.
Dr. Patel is also a Registered Physician in Vascular Interpretation. Medical society affiliations have included the American Medical Association and the American College of Physicians.
He served as the co-director of Gateway Medical Center's Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit from 2003 to 2011. Dr. Patel received the Physician Excellence award from Gateway in 2005. He has been volunteering at the Good Samaritan Clinic in Clarksville since 2006.
Bharatkumar is his full first name, but he goes by Bharat. His wife grew up in Clarksville and he has two sons. One son graduated from Vanderbilt University with a Chemical & Biomedical Engineering degree. The other son graduated from Emory University and is currently in Medical School at University of Tennessee – Memphis.
